Chesterton Light Engineering ltd and Cambmac Engineering Ltd have merged. The company is now known as Laureate Precision Engineering Ltd.

Cambmac Engineering Ltd

Cambmac Limited, established near March in Cambridgeshire in 1977 as a purveyor of manual & CNC machined components. The business moved to its current location in 1983 and continued to grow. Tesserrae Holdings acquired Cambmac and became a wholly owned subsidiary in 2013.

Chesterton Light Engineering Ltd

Founded in 1973 to produce quality machined components. Then in 1989 Chris Honey and Stuart Woor acquired the company and increased its customer base and in addition, its level of service. Twelve years later Chesterton Light Engineering Ltd moved to Newmarket, Suffolk. With an increased floor area it has allowed them to expand even further. They now work with clients throughout Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and the UK.

In September 2016 The two companies merged. The new owner Andrew Fotheringham formed Laureate Precision Engineering Ltd. We now embark on a new journey.

Investment

Laureate Precision Engineering Ltd are very focused on investment.

In 2017 we will be looking to expand our staff knowledge, machine capabilities, capacity and services we offer to our client base. This will include new 4 & 5 axis CNC Milling machines, CNC lathes with driven tooling and we are also looking at Laser cutting facilities.
